A Few Answers

  • Color analysis is a specialized process rooted in color theory used to identify the specific shades that harmonize with your natural features. By determining which colors complement your skin tone, eyes, and hair, we create a roadmap for your wardrobe. The goal is to help you shop with precision, dress with ease, and eliminate the frustration of investing in pieces that don’t quite work. I utilize the International Image Institute’s advanced 23-palette system for the highest level of accuracy.

  • It is a systematic, three-step draping process conducted under professional lighting to determine three key factors:

    • Undertone: Identifying if your skin performs best with Warm (yellow-based), Cool (blue-based), or Neutral hues.

    • Home Season: Narrowing your best colors into one of the four primary seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter.

    • The Flow/Sub-Season: The final refinement where we discover which of the four specific palettes within your season truly synchronizes with your features.

  • An individual session The Color Edit - For One is typically about 1.5 hours and a shared session The Color Edit - For Two is typically 3 hours.

  • To ensure the most accurate results and a premium experience, I offer in-person sessions only. Working together in my studio allows us to see how your skin reacts to color in real-time and under controlled lighting, offering a level of detail that a digital screen simply cannot replicate.

  • Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your partner, parent, or friend along to watch the process.

  • Sharing the experience is a great way to see the process in action. You can book The Color Edit – For Two which reserves 3 hours for you and a guest at a preferred rate.

  • Yes. For groups, corporate events, or private parties, please email me to discuss custom options and mobile studio setups.

  • Yes. Color analysis is a holistic process. We can assess your current makeup bag to see what aligns with your new palette, and I can provide guidance on hair color if you are considering a change. If you’ve ever wondered about a specific style—like how bangs might change your look—I have hair samples available in the studio for you to test.

  • Your underlying palette remains constant regardless of age or sun exposure. While you might lean toward certain "power colors" within your palette when you are tan versus when you are fair, the core harmony stays the same for life.

  • For the most accurate and "true" results, please discontinue the use of self-tanner and any other facial treatments that may alter your skin at least one week prior to your appointment.

  • It is common to feel a bit of a "style shock" if your palette differs from what you’ve reached for in the past. We are often conditioned to wear what is trendy rather than what is flattering. I recommend starting with a few key accessories or small pieces from your new palette; as you see the difference in your image and confidence, the adjustment usually happens very naturally.

  • Not at all. Think of your palette as a guidebook for your best visual impact, not a list of restrictions. My goal is to give you the tools to look your best; how you use them is entirely up to you. If a color outside your palette makes you happy, you should absolutely wear it. We can even discuss ways to "bridge" those colors so they work better for you.

  • Yes. You will leave your session with a high-quality fabric swatch book and a digital palette for your phone. This ensures you always have a reference point whether you are shopping in person or online.

  • While I do not offer refunds for cancellations, you are welcome to reschedule your appointment if needed. If you find you are unable to make it, your session is also fully transferable and makes a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member.
